TAZI CANYON

Tazı Canyon, located 10 km. north of Köprülü Canyon National Park within the borders of Manavgat and Serik districts, is a natural wonder that has been known by the local people living in the region for a long time, but was discovered by travellers by chance in 2017 and is increasing its fame day by day.


The distance between Tazı Canyon and the centre of Antalya is 105 km. To reach the canyon, you must first come to Köprülü Canyon National Park. From here, continuing in the direction of Beskonak and crossing the Selge road junction, after proceeding about 8 km towards Gaziler Village, the Tazı signboard appears on the right. When you take this turn and continue for 4 km. more, you reach the cemetery of Gaziler Village. After leaving the vehicles here and walking for about 1200 metres, the canyon is reached.


Tazı Canyon, which impresses its visitors with its breathtaking visuality and unique atmosphere, is included in the travel plans of more and more people every day.


The canyon with a fascinating panoramic view promises an extraordinary experience for photography and nature enthusiasts. It is said that the width of the 4 km. long canyon between two mountains is 30-50 metres and the side walls are 200-400 metres high.


You can follow the traces of natural life around the canyon, also known as the Valley of Wisdom. In Köprülü Canyon National Park, where Tazı Canyon is also located; it is possible to come across mammals such as caracals, foxes, deer, wild goats, lynx, bears, wolves, martens, rabbits and badgers, and bird species such as rock eagle, red vulture, rock sparrow, rock sparrow, woodpecker, rock nuthatch, rock nuthatch, swift, rock eagle, stonechat, red bunting, skylark, rock pigeon, snake eagle, rock swallow, rock bunting.


There are Taurus fir, larch, cypress, juniper, juniper and cedar trees in and around Tazı Canyon, which is also rich in flora.


Activities such as hiking, photography and camping can be done in Tazı Canyon.
